Road Trip Anyone?
Great Lakes Fiber Show is in a couple of weeks. Yarmando mentioned wanting to go. Anyone up for a road trip? Carpooling will save gas money.

She discussed "shenpa." I think of this as following the "shiny objects" that prevent getting things accomplished.

Weekend plans
I'm heading to Cleveland this weekend to visit the M's (the amazing person who taught me to knit.) Then I'll be a medical guinea pig for some diabetes research on Monday. I'll tweet all the tests and fun/excitement for you all to experience with me. That will be fun, won't it?
I'm enjoying the BSJ that I'm making out of the Noro Sock Yarn. I'm almost finished. It's been a good knit.

Tunes on Tuesday Discovery Style
Check out Musicovery is a web-based interactive site that calls out for exploration. Try it and let me know what you think. As I explore this site, I like the visual interaction and watching the music options change (right in front of my face). There are lots of options to discover.
Way cool. See where your selections lead you.

KIP and New Rowan Books
This a great weekend!
Friday, knitSB and I spend the night with Trixie and watched "Better Than Chocolate" and "Kinky Boots." We had dinner, chatted and such. A good time and I knit, of course. I completed the BSJ in Cascade 220 in colors that knitSB selected. I just have to run in the ends and decide how I am going to finish it.
On Saturday knitSB, LJ, Songferret and I went to Songferrets for a potluck and movie watching. "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "Enchanted." I knit, of course. I cast on another BSJ in Noro Sock Yarn on size 2 needles. The difference in size should be fun to see.
After sleeping in late on Sunday (woo-hoo!), I went to my LYS and enjoyed some knitting in public. I got to see some great people that I've not seen since I stopped working there.
I picked up three Rowan books.
"all seasons at the mill"
"pure wool: Family Collection"
"Rowan: Knitting and Crochet Magazine Number 43"
What surprised me is that there were actually men's patterns in these books!
Sunday evening, I saw Avenue Q and laughed quite a bit. An adult show with puppets. Who would have thought?

This makes me wonder
What did the choreographer do to get into prison and why do they let him do this to all those prisoners?

Hooray! Almost done!
Yep, the knitting is completed on the socks for the sock exchange. See?

I wondered if you all thought I still knit. I do! These socks were knit using Cider Moon (a moment of silence, please...) Glacier in Purple and stripped with Yarn Candy. I created the pattern using an increase/decrease pattern. Now. I just hope that they will fit her.
All I need to do know is run in the ends. There are quite a few ends because I stripped the socks every-other row. I think I'll sit under good lighting tomorrow and finish these up. So, if you're reading this Kristen...when do you want them?
