My Friend Matt

This is a picture of an outstanding human being.
I know, I know, you all know that Matty is a fine human being and today his kindness is unsurpassed.

Here's why:
My brother Steve agreed to cut down a dead tree in my back yard for my Christmas gift 2006. He was coming to do it the Saturday of Easter weekend. Of course, Columbus get a cold snap but he will still cut down the tree. My ladder (rather Tracy's ladder that is at my house until I put the lighting up in the front) isn't quite tall enough. We call a few rental places, blah, blah, blah. I get a flash and call Matty. Ask him if he has an extension ladder. "Why, yes. Yes I do." He heads over after changing a few plans.

He comes with the ladder that is very helpful and offers some great insight on how to cut down the tree without causing any damage to anyone or thing in close proximity. My brother goes off to get a "bucket" to use to get the tree down. Matt, KnitSB and I have a few minutes to sit and knit. Don's perfected his sock pattern and Matt is testing it out in a bright color from Cider Moon. Very cool.

At the end of the day, the tree is down, Matt has made a chair in my back yard out of what couldn't be cut down and he helped with the wood chipper. All with this smile on his face.

I'm a very lucky person to have such kind people around. Thanks Matty!
