I started a pair of short socks a week ago and have made nice progress. knitSB was driving this evening and I got to be the passenger. When not being a "passenger side" driver, I was knitting. I discovered a dropped stitch **grrr**. I placed a st holder so I could pick up the st while waiting for dinner. Getting out of the car, I broke a needle! See the top of the picture for the damage. Brittany needles aren't cheap.

This is why I knit with magic loop. My needles don't break.

While Jeremy is right -- you're being punished for your inferior methods -- I believe Brittany does replace their needles if you break them.
Never broken the tip of a magic-looping-circ, but I've bent quite a few...
Brittany is pretty good about replacing needles for free. I've had a few bust right in the middle of project before and logged onto their website, emailed them and gotten great response. Good luck! I'm a DPN sock knitter and also like Crystal Palace needles too. They seen to be more durable.
I enjoy reading your blog :)

Still, there you were at dinner with no more knitting, I assume? sucky!
Totally sucky. I went to a rock concert Saturday night and forgot my project! I felt a little sick.
I'm a big fan of double points.(cough cough, magic loop is annoying cough cough) What size was that? I may have an extra for ya.
