KIP and New Rowan Books

This a great weekend!
Friday, knitSB and I spend the night with Trixie and watched "Better Than Chocolate" and "Kinky Boots." We had dinner, chatted and such. A good time and I knit, of course. I completed the BSJ in Cascade 220 in colors that knitSB selected. I just have to run in the ends and decide how I am going to finish it.
On Saturday knitSB, LJ, Songferret and I went to Songferrets for a potluck and movie watching. "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "Enchanted." I knit, of course. I cast on another BSJ in Noro Sock Yarn on size 2 needles. The difference in size should be fun to see.
After sleeping in late on Sunday (woo-hoo!), I went to my LYS and enjoyed some knitting in public. I got to see some great people that I've not seen since I stopped working there.

I picked up three Rowan books.
"all seasons at the mill"
"pure wool: Family Collection"
"Rowan: Knitting and Crochet Magazine Number 43"
What surprised me is that there were actually men's patterns in these books!

Sunday evening, I saw Avenue Q and laughed quite a bit. An adult show with puppets. Who would have thought?

I'm not at all surprised about the puppets. I've done dozens of puppet shows and workshops and things, and I have to tell ya, the first thing people do with puppets is make rude jokes. Gotta love it! Suffice to say why Scott and I enjoyed our puppetry company so much!
