I know I try to find the right gift for someone to celebrate their birthday. I think it is fun to listen over several months and then remember what hints have been dropped.
True, you might not expect to have someone ask for pink flamingos for a gift...but he happened to be talking about his plans to spend more time in the yard. We passed these flamingos while out and about. We smiled at them and moved on. I had an opportunity to pick them up. He was honestly surprised and pleased. The smile is worth it.
