St Francis statue

I chuckle when I remember this statue of St Francis with its head sitting in the bird bath. An unexpected and curious item to have in a garden. Yes, I like it.

Have you seen the Dr Who episode called Blink? Creepy and well written. I would like to have a statue of an angel covering its eyes. Do you know where I can get one? I have no garden ornaments. We have a few items hanging in the fence and two pink flamingoes but no gnomes, angels. I do look for garden gnomes when I'm visiting the garden centers but have no luck finding just the right gnome for our garden. I expect him to find me. ;)

Other than flowers and plants, what do you have in your garden that makes you grin?

Could I Knit A Hat Like This?

One of the cast members has this nice hat that I like. He let me snap a few photos. I like the back of the hat.

Have you seen a knitted hat pattern similar to this? I have been wondering how I would knit this. Do you have suggestions for me?

I am thrilled with the quality of this cast. These are people I want to work with again.

Isn't the baby cute? I was backstage when I snapped this photo.

Legally Knitting

There were quite a few young ladies wearing pink. (like omigod, I couldn't believe it. omigod). I was happy to hear some of the one-liners that got good laughs from the movies. We enjoyed the show.

I snapped this photo of my knitting in front of the screen at intermission. These are knitSB's orange socks. I just need to complete the gusset decreases and knit to the toe decreases. I will need another skein of this yarn. these are turning out to be expensive short socks. I love the color and the recipient, so they are like totally worth it, OMIGOD!

Cookie Cutters Galore

Cookie Cutters Galore

A prop needed for the show is an edible lizard that gets killed and eaten. I'm going to use krispy treats, covered in green fondant. I'll be using cookie cutters to make the form that is small enough to be eaten quickly. I have been unsuccessfully searching in the usual places I visit for props. A quick internet search lead me to Columbus Cake Craft. I called and found out they had the cookie cutter I thought would work.

Today, I stopped at http://www.columbuscakecraft.comand snapped this photo of the wall, yes wall of cookie cutters.

Wow. I picked up three different cutters that should look like a lizard on stage. I'll post a picture of the progress.

Oh, and I am making the krispy treats red so it will look like blood. It is a small detail I think makes props really cool. :)
