Knitting iPhone Apps

knitting apps

I've been enjoying some of the knitting applications for the iPhone. The knit buddy is starting to be used more because of the multiple counters that can be made for different projects.(I can't find this in the app store)
I'm disappointed in the Sock Calc because it cannot be adjusted who tall to make the sock. The measurements start from just below the knee and that is where the sock starts. I don't wear socks that are that high on my calf. Yes, I can just not knit them that high, but I wish it gave me the option of how high to start on the calf. And it calculates decreases for the ankles. It would be great if this app also did toe up.
iKnit Needle Sizer is one of my favorites. I use this a lot as I'm searching for a needle in the right size.  It's easy to use and so convenient.
Vogue Knitting  is an new app for me. It gives some good resource information. I'll let you know how it goes as I get used to it.
Lion Brand is an app from the yarn company. It's really a way for you to find all their patterns.
KnitGauge isn't the most accurate way to check gauge, but it's convenient. :)
Crochet Dude is a way to keep up with Drew. It links his twitter and youtube. Kinda fun.
StitchMinder has some potential, but I've not gotten into it completely.

What apps do you like for your iPhone (and why).

Thanks for that review. Never saw the iKnit Needle Sizer and will get that right now! Favorite apps for me: IMDB (movie data base; everything there!); Dropbox, Art, Stanza ( a way to transfer books).

Off to buy iKnit Needle Sizer!
